Suvereto is an enchanting old medieval village set among oaks, chestnuts, and, as the name suggests, cork-oak groves. In its cobbled streets one finds plenty of artisan workshops of many types, as old traditions are still treasured here. The surrounding countryside reaches to the sea and is crossed by the “strada del vino” (wine street). There are many grape-growing companies and farms, artisan cellars and olive-presses. One can taste typical wines and other genuine products of the area: the wild boar with olives is a special treat.
From Suvereto one can very quickly embark to the Isola d’Elba.
