Day 1
Meeting with your guide and transfer to Casale Marittimo, with visit to the small “borgo” to live the quiet atmosphere of a place where ordinary life and rhythms are still those of the seasons.
We will then move to Querceto to admire the Castle of the Marchesi Ginori, with lunch with the typical dishes of Tuscan and local cuisine (such as wildboar with black olives). When the weather is good, one can have lunch outdoors.
In the afternoon, visit to the cellars with tasting of the wines Marchesi Ginori Lisci, Montescudaio DOC, and of extra-virgin olive oil.
Then transfer to Bolgheri, checking into a B&B (breakfast included), and lunch on your own
Day 2
You will be free for the whole morning so you can quietly visit the peaceful, splendid old “borgo” and visit, if you like, some of the many old taverns too, to taste typical products. In the afternoon, guided tour to one of the cellars where one of the most important world-class Italian wines is produced, with final tasting. Then transfer to Sassetta, checking into a B&B, and dinner at the renowned “biodynamical” farm industry of Sassetta, which autonomously produces more than 95% of the products prepared and served to you, to have you savour a perfectly balanced, and delicious, dinner. This is the expression of an “authentic” form of tourism, for the care and culture of food are the unique guidelines of the holiday farm’s philosophy
Day 3
A whole morning dedicated to relaxing in the Sassetta Terme’s famous spas, through a “general wellness” program that will mean to you an experience of enlivening, even rejuvenating harmonies and pleasures, in a moving natural environment. The spas were created in their contemporary form according to a project with the purpose of letting thermal waters run free through the environment with their energy. They are completely built with river stones found in the fields and chestnut wood from the surrounding groves.
To follow, a rebalancing lunchtime meal with the products of a biodynamical farm nearby.
In the afternoon, we’ll go to Suvereto, and visit the little nice “borgo”. Dinner of your own choice. Then checking into a B&B, with breakfast included.
Day 4
Meeting with the guide and transfer to Massa Marittima.
The morning will be wholly dedicated to visiting the small town, and to admire the beautiful main square, in which one finds all the fundamental buildings in urban life during the Age of Italian Municipalities: the Cathedral, the Governor’s House (palazzo del Podestà), the Market’s Loggia, and the Palazzo Comunale. We’ll walk through the old, steep alleys of the historical centre, and reach the Upper Town, dominated by the impressive Fortress with its Clock’s Tower. The sight reaches down to the sea.
We’ll meet again in the afternoon to go back to the B&B, according to your preferences.
