Day 1
We meet at your hotel and leave to the discovery of the city of Pisa and its leaning tower. You will walk through the alleys of the old town up to the marvels of Piazza dei Miracoli, to Piazza dei Cavalieri, to the Lungarni, breathing the atmosphere of a young and romantic university town, wholly outside the usual touristic itineraries.
Lunch and afternoon on your own, to discover the city.
Dinner in a typical tavern and then checking to a B&B (breakfast included)
Day 2
We leave to Viareggio, a amall city that will surprise you with its promenade along the waterfront, its beautiful art nouveau and fin de siecle buildings, and the shiny windows of its many boutiques. Lunch on your own.
In the afternoon, we’ll transfer to Forte dei Marmi, with its charming, exclusive atmosphere, both chic and casual and relaxed at the same time, the fashionable boutiques, and classy restaurants.
Dinner and checking to a B&B.
Day 3
Meeting at your B&B and leaving to Carrara. Visit to the old historical centre of Carrara, a hidden, romantic city with its old-time anarchist traditions, many artisan workshops and the beautiful, all-marble Duomo di S. Andrea. Lunch on your own.
In the afternoon, visit to the Nicoli Marble Atelier, a large workshop catering both to the great names of international sculpture and the small local sculptors. We’ll enjoy a unique chance to see how the craft of an artist can work a simple block of marble with wonderful results.
Dinner in a typical tavern and checking to a local B&B (breakfast included).
Day 4
Meeting and departure to Pietrasanta, with its graceful streets and baroque
Palazzi, many antique shops and art galleries, artisan workshops and artists’ ateliers.
Lunch on your own.
